Direction of training
- The Department of Sciences is a part of the preparatory department for non-residents
- The department conducts training for students from different countries of the world in three areas:
- engineering and technical profile;
- economic profile;
- biomedical profile
The main tasks of the faculty of the Department of Sciences are to improve the quality of teaching foreign students, to develop their creative abilities in order to achieve the linguistic and communicative competence necessary for successful studies in the first year.
The work of the faculty of the department is also aimed at improving scientific and pedagogical skills, the introduction of new methods and means of teaching, allowing to implement the principles of intensifying the training and education of foreign students, the development of scientific research, the widespread introduction of computer technology into the educational process.
For this purpose, educational and methodological complexes, publications for independent work, materials for entrance testing in various languages have been created in all disciplines of the department, as well as 12 textbooks, 30 methodological developments, training and monitoring programs based on electronic test tasks and using multimedia learning tools.
Scientific activity

The department carries out scientific work on the research topic:
«Resource-saving technology and equipment for moisture-heat treatment of raw materials based on wave phenomena with variable heat supply and thermodynamic assessment of energy technology systems» (supervisor — Professor G.V. Kalashnikov).
The main directions of research work of the department:
- computer technology and multimedia resources as means of increasing interest in educational activities in the process of teaching foreign citizens Sciences in the system of pre-university training;
- educational technology, a comprehensive assessment of the quality of preparation of foreign students using the technology of independent assessment and adaptation of foreign citizens to the educational environment in pre-university training in the disciplines of the department;
- development of teaching and monitoring programs in Sciences at the preparatory department.
